Fort Worth Event Porta Potty Rentals

Planning portable restrooms for festivals, races, park events, and community gatherings in Fort Worth, Euless, Bedford, and Hurst: unit counts, ADA and hand wash planning, official permit notes, and Texas mass gathering law.

Quick Answer

Size event restrooms around peak attendance, hours on site, food and drinks, and what permanent restrooms the venue already has. Fort Worth and each nearby city run their own event, park, and street-use processes with different lead times, so check the city where the event will be held before delivery. Large gatherings outside city limits may fall under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 751 and the sanitation standards in 25 TAC 265.3. Pricing varies by provider; use the Texas cost guides for the cost factors and get local quotes.

How Many Units to Plan

No citywide formula replaces a venue walkthrough. Use the how many porta potties do I need guide for baseline math, then adjust for peak attendance, alcohol, food, event length, and distance to permanent restrooms. Public events should include ADA-accessible units on firm, level routes.

→Ask the venue how many permanent fixtures will be open and where they are relative to stages, food, and parking.
→Count peak on-site attendance, not only total daily throughput.
→Add hand wash stations near restroom banks and food booths.
→For races, plan separate banks at the start/finish area and remote parking.
→For long summer events, ask whether a mid-event service visit is wiser than adding more units.

Fort Worth-Area Permit Notes

Confirm current rules with the authority that controls the property. The notes below summarize publicly posted processes as of October 2026 and are not a substitute for the application packet.

Fort Worth

The Office of Outdoor Events requires a permit for private-property gatherings of more than 500 and for public-property events that close streets, sell food or beverages, or use tents, stages, bleachers, fireworks, open flames, or portable toilets. Posted lead times run from 60 days to 210 days depending on event type and attendance, and a flat permit fee applies. Church, school, and campus events on their own property are exempt.

Bedford

Civic, special, and outside sales event applications are submitted through the City's online permit portal. Renters of City pavilions need written permission before bringing in portable toilets, food trucks, or bounce houses.

Official page →

Euless

Event uses on private property are handled as Temporary Use Permits through the Planning and Development Department, which reviews whether adequate facilities will be provided for attendees.

Official page →

Hurst

Street closures and block parties go through Public Works Engineering. Contact the City to confirm what other approvals apply to your event.

Bedford's pavilion rental policies are worth reading before booking units for a park party: portable toilets need the City's written permission in advance. Even where a city does not ask, a site map with restroom banks marked makes delivery day easier.

Texas Mass Gathering Law

Under Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 751, a mass gathering is held outside the limits of a municipality, is expected to attract more than 2,500 persons (or more than 500 in certain cases involving young attendees and alcohol), and keeps people on site for more than five continuous hours or at any time between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. These events need a county-judge permit applied for at least 45 days ahead. Ranch and rural-venue events outside city limits in Tarrant and surrounding counties are where this most often comes up.

For gatherings that require that permit, 25 TAC §265.3 sets minimum sanitation standards, including toilet facilities at no more than 50 persons per toilet seat and handwashing facilities near each toilet location. See the Texas Event Restroom Requirements guide for the full statewide overview.

Placement, Heat & Servicing

Park sites

Events at Generations Park in Bedford, Hurst Community Park, and Fort Worth city parks need units placed where service trucks can reach them. Ask the venue where units may sit.

Summer heat

North Texas summers are hot. Units fill and smell faster between service visits, so ask about shade placement, extra units for afternoon peaks, and mid-event servicing.

Truck access

Service trucks need a clear route to every unit. Mark restroom banks on the site map and keep them off closed streets and fire lanes.

Unit Types for Events

Standard event porta potty

The default for most festivals, races, and park events.

ADA-accessible unit

Larger unit with grab bars and turning space; place on firm, level ground.

Hand wash station

Freestanding sink near restroom banks and food booths.

Deluxe or flushing unit

Sometimes used near VIP or hospitality areas.

Restroom trailer

Best for guest-facing hospitality zones and weddings; needs power and a level pad.

Cost Factors

This guide does not list Fort Worth prices. See the Texas Porta Potty Rental Cost guide and the Texas Restroom Trailer Rental Cost guide. Event quotes are usually built from a per-unit rate for the event window, plus ADA and hand wash add-ons, delivery distance, and any mid-event service visits.
